Hello! If you've come to this site because you Googled my name after I sent you a resume, welcome! This web site is probably one of the most neglected parts of my life. Quite frankly, I spend so much time at work that I never have time for silly things website updates, reading, writing my book, flying model helicopters, fishing, target shooting, political activism...
For me, my job has to be engaging; my biggest fear about taking a new job is that it will be boring. Much more than salary or hours (or dress code), I have to be always learning. Like an artist, I create. Unlike an artist I have no artistic talent. Thus, I have inflicted this webpage on you.
I also do Linux and OSS (Open Source Software) consulting on the side; it's much more fun than rebooting Windows all day, which is what I do as my "main" job. I'm a huge fan of Ubuntu, which I think has taken Linux leaps and bounds ahead of "other" operating systems. I've done everything from single-server migration to virtualization projects to Linux-on-the-desktop assessments for businesses. My rates are negotiable and depend heavily on the challenge involved in the project. For Linux consulting, the harder it is, the less expensive I'm likely to be.
